We operate as a nonprofit, and like many Black-led organizations, we are often underfunded and expected to deliver services without adequate financial support. The report Unfunded highlights that Black-led nonprofits in Canada frequently lack the resources needed to meet the demand for their essential services. We do this work because we care deeply about our community, but sustainable funding is crucial for us to continue making a real impact.
