Addressing the Manipulative Tactics of Birth Crisis Centre’s and Ensuring Access to Safe and Supportive Reproductive Health Services

Access to honest, transparent, and comprehensive reproductive healthcare is a fundamental right. However, many women, particularly Black women, face significant barriers when seeking reproductive health services, a situation exacerbated by the prevalence of manipulative practices in so-called “birth crisis centres.” These organizations often operate under the guise of offering comprehensive reproductive health services but use deceptive tactics to deter individuals from making informed choices. The Black Women’s Institute for Health (BWIH) stands firmly in opposition to these tactics and advocates for legislation that mandates transparency and accountability among organizations providing reproductive health services.
